FLAME University, is a State Private University and a Jain Minority Institution, was founded in 2007 in Pune, Maharashtra. It was established with a strong social commitment and a vision to make meaningful contributions to society.

Dr. Devi Singh, the former Director of MDI Gurgaon and IIM Lucknow, led the efforts to create a university that breaks the barriers of traditional education. With a focus on providing a nurturing and inspiring environment, FLAME University has emerged as a pioneer of Liberal Education in India. Dr. Dishan Kamdar currently serves as the Vice Chancellor of FLAME University. For postgraduate students, it provides a two-year MBA program as well as an MBA in Communications Management, both of which are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for five years.
