About JEE: Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced is an objective based common engineering entrance examination conducted for granting admission in technical programmes offered by the IITs. Candidates who clear JEE Main 2020 are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced and to secure admissions in IITs, NITs, and many other colleges.
Conducting Body: JEE Advanced 2020 is conducted by IIT Roorkee. Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced is conducted by any of the seven Zonal Coordinating (ZC) IITs under the guidance of the Joint Admission Board (JAB).
Mode of Exam: JEE Advanced 2020 will be conducted in online mode only (Computer Based Test).
The medium of Paper: The candidates of JEE Advanced 2020 can write their paper in either English or Hindi.
Cut-Off: The conducting authority sets the cut-off marks for the examination, which the candidate has to score minimum to clear the examination and proceed.
Eligible Candidates: Only the top 2,24,000 scorers of JEE Main are eligible to apply for JEE Advanced 2020.

JEE Advanced 2020 Registration: Students can avail the application forms from 3rd May 2020.
No. of seats to increase across IITs: The HRD ministry has noted the number of girls to be admitted – to achieve the 14 % quota – must be "supernumerary", which means that the number of boys admitted to the college cannot drop below the number admitted in 2018. Significantly, with this new rule, all 23 IITs, including the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad, will have to increase the number of seats.
Separate Merit List for Girls: The Human Resource Development Ministry has decided to prepare a separate merit list for girls for the 2020-2020 academic session. It is to ensure that 14% of female students are given admissions in the JEE Advanced 2020.
Virtual Calculators: During the examination, virtual calculators will be allowed on the computer screen. The candidates will not be allowed to use any calculators, watches, electronic devices or mobile devices.
Application Date: The JEE Advanced 2020 applications will be available on 3rd May 2020. The last date to apply for JEE Advanced 2020 is 9th May 2020.
Exam Date: JEE Advanced 2020 will be conducted on 27th May 2020 in two shifts.

Counselling: Candidates who clear the exam will have to undergo counselling process for seat allotment, the conducting authority has notified that the counselling process commences from 19th June 2020.

JEE Advanced 2020 eligibility criteria are the list of requirements and conditions that the candidates have to satisfy to participate in the examination, Before filling the JEE Advance #application form.
You are advised to check the eligibility criteria of JEE Advanced 2020, Ineligible candidates will be disqualified from the examination process.
Performance in JEE Main: Only if you have cleared JEE Main 2020 you will be eligible for JEE Advanced 2020.
Number of Attempts: You will be able to attempt the JEE Advanced 2020 examination two times in two consecutive years.
Age Limit: Applicants must have been born on or after 1 October 1994. A relaxation of 5 years will be given to candidates from reserved categories.
Minimum Qualification: The candidate should be pursuing or should have completed 10+2 with a minimum aggregate of 75% (65% for candidates from reserved categories). Top 2,24,000 candidates who clear JEE Main 2020 will be eligible for JEE Advanced 2020.

JEE Advanced will have the questions based on the course that they opt for either B.Tech/ B.Arch.
Paper 1: Questions related to Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics will be covered in JEE Advanced 2020 Paper 1.
Paper 2: Imagination and aesthetic sensitivity and Architectural awareness will be tested in JEE Advanced 2020 Paper 2.
The major topics regarding JEE Advanced 2020 for each subject is as follows:
Physics: Physics topics are General topics, Mechanics, Thermal Physics, Electricity and Magnetism, Optics, Modern Physics etc.
Chemistry: Chemistry topics are Physical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry and Organic Chemistry etc.
Mathematics: Mathematics topics are Algebra, Trigonometry, Analytical Geometry, Differential Calculus, Integral Calculus, Vectors etc.
Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT): Architectural topics are Freehand Drawing, Geometrical Drawing, Three-Dimensional perception, imagination and Aesthetic sensitivity and Architectural Awareness etc.
Mode: Candidates (JEE Main qualified) who want to apply for the JEE Advanced 2020 can avail the application forms online from their official website.
Application Fee: The Application fee is INR 1300 for female and reserved category candidates whereas for all other categories it is INR 2600. The fee structure for foreign candidates will vary.
Personal Details: The candidates are required to fill in all the details, select preferred exam centre, choose question paper medium and fill in all the other details.
Documents to Upload: Candidates should upload images of thumb impression, signature and photograph in the specified format while filling up the JEE Advanced Application Form.
Eligibility: Only the JEE Main 2020 qualifying candidates whose scores are either equal or above JEE Main 2020 cut-off marks for JEE Advanced 2020 will be eligible to fill the application form for admissions in IITs.
