Common Management Admission Test, better known as CMAT is a national level postgraduate entrance exam pertaining to all management programmes. Both the first and second shifts of CMAT 2020 were successfully conducted on January 28, 2020. The CMAT result 2020, CMAT merit list 2020, and the final answer key of CMAT were declared on February 6, 2020, in online mode. Earlier, NTA had released the answer key of CMAT 2020 on February 1, 2020, and the link was active until February 3, 2020. The application process started from November 1, 2018, and ended on December 7, 2018. The last date to pay the application fee was December 8, 2018. CMAT 2020 is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). CMAT 2020 is an online (computer-based) exam of 3 hours comprising multiple choice objective questions. The CMAT scores are required for admission to around 500 AICTE approved B-schools including University departments, constituent colleges, and management institutions across India. As many as 54,516 candidates appeared for the test. Until 2018, it was administered by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) annually as per the regulations of MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development), Government of India.

As per the official notification by the National Testing Agency (NTA), CMAT 2020 application form was released on November 1, 2018, and the last date to submit the form was December 7, 2018. The last date to upload the scanned image of photograph & signature was December 8, 2018. Prior to filling the CMAT application form 2020, candidates need to register themselves in the web account of NTA by providing their basic credentials.
The exam conducting authority, National Testing Agency (NTA) prescribes the CMAT 2020 exam pattern. The total duration of the computer-based online CMAT exam is 180 minutes and it consists of four distinct sections, namely, Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, Language Comprehension, Logical Reasoning, and General Awareness.
As per the CMAT exam pattern 2020, a total of 100 questions are equally divided amongst the four sections (25 X 4 = 100). Each question carries four marks and the maximum score that can be obtained is 400. Each correct answer will fetch +4 marks and each incorrect will be penalised with a negative marking of -1 mark.
National Testing Agency, the new CMAT administering authority will conduct the selection procedure. As per the officials, the participating institutes will conduct their respective selection procedures for the candidates who would obtain the cutoff scores. The CMAT 2020 selection procedure varies within institutes. The selection procedure of CMAT 2020 mostly comprises of GD (Group Discussion), PI (Personal Interview) or WAT (Written Ability Test).
